Former Arsenal defender Lauren Etamé-Mayer has disclosed that Alexis Sanchez could earn a place in the Gunners’ famous ‘Invincibles’ team.

Lauren played alongside Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira and Robert Pires as Arsenal won the EPL in 2003-04 without suffering a single defeat.

Alexis Sanchez, who was signed from Barcelona in July 2014 for £35 million has netted 42 goals in two seasons and became the fans’ favourite at the Emirates, and Lauren believes the player gives his all in every game he has played for the Gunners.

“Straight away I would say Alexis Sanchez would get into the ‘Invincibles’ team. He’s the kind of player who gives 110 per cent in every single game. I think to achieve targets and success you need players like that. I like this type of player. You need charismatic figures within the Arsenal squad and he’s one of them,”Lauren said.
