Sako, Doumbia to lead Mali against Nigeria (full list)

Ahead of the friendly match against the Super Eagles of Nigeria, the coach of Mali Alain Giresse has released a 23-man list for the encounter billed for May 27, at the Stade Robert Dichon in France.

Bakary Sako, Moussa Doumbia are among the players that will lead the Eagles Mali against the Super Eagles.

It will be recalled that the last time both sides met was at the 2013 AFCON in South Africa, where Nigerian won 4 – 1 in the semi-final on their way to clinch the trophy for the third time.

Meanwhile, the international friendly match between the Super Eagles and the national team of Luxembourg has been brought forward by 24 hours.

A letter to the NFF by the Football Association of Luxembourg on Friday May 13, explained that the match, earlier scheduled for June 1, had to be moved forward by a day as a result of the Tour de France cycling competition, with Luxembourg much involved.

The match in Luxembourg will take place at 7pm on Tuesday, May 31, at the Josy Barthel Stadium in that country’s capital city.
